Street and Abandoned Children Volunteer
Program Overview
Children in Nepal are orphaned and abandoned for various reasons. Poor socio-economic status, domestic violence, untimely demise of their parents and natural disasters are the main reasons, amongst others. With no one to provide shelter or care, orphaned children are often left to wander the streets and scavenge for food. The lucky ones will be admitted to local orphanages — modest buildings often suffering from understaffing and disrepair. Many of these orphaned and abandoned children become undernourished and will not receive an education. They will grow up without ever feeling loved. Unfortunately, thousands of these children are forced to adopt a very miserable life as a street children "KHATE", thereby becoming quite vulnerable to drugs, trafficking, exploitation and other criminal activities, or to end up as domestic slaves.
Corps Nepal is established with the mission of helping the orphaned, abandoned and destitute children in every way so that they can lead the normal life that we all are entitled to.
What you can do?
You can help expand this legacy of love and compassion by sharing your heart and hands. In this area alone, thousands -- perhaps hundreds of thousands -- of children don't have enough food or water for basic survival. Also volunteer needs you to play games with the children, help them with their studies, teach them songs, music and dance and work with them on handicrafts and artworks for their better life.
Therefore Corps Nepal has pledged ongoing support and resources to feed orphans, street and abandoned children in the suburb of Kathamndu, Butwal and Pokara in secure, clean and caring facilities. You can make a difference by spending your vacation helping orphans, street and abandoned children. And have an experience you'll never forget.
So that we encourage individuals, groups or organization to volunteer with them as well as consider sponsoring a child through this organization.
